Take 2-Day 2 VLCD

Today's weight: 160.1
Goal Weight: 125
Pounds Lost Today: 5.9
Pounds Lost Total: 5.9

So, did you see that!! I lost nearly six pounds on my VERY FIRST DAY of low calorie!! Yay!

But, now for the sad part.

I had one hell of a day! My van broke down, the city came and towed it while I was trying to get a tow truck to come and get it. My backpack was in the van, my HCG drops were in the backpack. :(

So, I didn't have the drops, and I was starving without them. So, I ate food that wasn't on protocol.

I am hoping I don't gain all of the weight that I lost back. That would S-U-C-K!

It seems like everything is against me with this diet, but I am determined to make it work!

I am hoping I can get my drops back tomorrow so that I can get back on the wagon. If I ever make it to phase 3, it will be a miracle!

Take 2-Day 1 VLCD

So, today went okay, I guess. I was very tired midday, and a bit weak. But, after dinner, I felt MUCH better. 


For lunch I had:


Talapia
Cucumber salad
Melba toast


For dinner I had:


Spicy "honey" mustard chicken
Radishes
Melba Toast


Snacks:


Apples (2)


Oh my, the radishes and chicken were DELICIOUS! Yum, yum, yum!! I hate radishes, but someone from YourHCG Facebook Page mentioned that she boiled them in stock and they were good. She was RIGHT! They tasted kind of like spicy potatoes. I will definitely be making them again. 


Oh, the chicken. Again, YUM! I took a bit of mustard, hot sauce, and a few drops of stevia and spread it on top of the chicken before baking it. That was so delicious. 


So, my first day is over. I swear I thought about quitting about fifteen times today. I was hungry, this diet is HARD! But, I keep thinking about myself in a few months from now. I think about how amazing it is going to feel when I am in a smaller size while on my vacation to Bermuda! ;) 


Some things that I messed up with:


I didn't wear gloves when cleaning up smashed chocolate mint cookies off the floor. (Thanks Lilah) 
Also, I wore makeup that isn't protocol safe. :( I forgot. 


Things I did well today:


I didn't cheat. 
I tried new recipes that were amazing! 


How I felt today:


Tired. Weak. Hungry.

I'm baaaaack!

Okay, so I had to stop taking the drops due to coming down with pneumonia. I felt it was more important to heal properly than it was to continue with the weight loss. Of course, I gained every single pound that I lost back.

But, I am back and ready to kick this fats ass! (Or rather, LOSS my fat ass!)

So, tomorrow is my start day. I was advised to wait until my period was over, and I probably SHOULD heed the advice, but I have such irregular cycles that I just don't know if I will begin my cycle soon or not. I guess I will take my chances and hope for the best.

I won't have to re-load because its been less than two weeks. I do wonder if I will be hungry or if the HCG will work right away. I guess we shall see!

Rewards!

So, I decided I am going to reward my self when I lose weight! :) For every ten pounds that I lose, I am going to do something special for myself. Here is my list of rewards:

10 pounds- Pedicure
20 pounds- 2 pair of adorable shoes
30 pounds- Haircut and dyed
40 pounds- $400 spent on a NEW wardrobe!!

Oh, I can't wait to buy a new wardrobe! New shoes? Well, I am not talking about the usual shoes I buy, but some really super sexy shoes. ;) Hair done? I want to get something dramatic to go with my new dramatic look. Maybe something like this:

But, with some red highlights added in it as well!

Oh, I am so excited for my new transformation!

Day 4 VLCD

Today's weight: 158.2
Goal Weight: 125
Pounds Lost Today: 1.8
Pounds Lost Total: 7.8


So, today started off good. I wasn't feeling hungry anymore. (Still not really) 


And, then.. I started dying. Yup, that's right. I think I am dying. 


Uggghhhh!! 


I am pretty sure my cold has turned into something much worse. Can I cry now?


No? 


Okay, well, hopefully tomorrow is going to be better. Today you get a condensed version of a blog because if I really am dying, I want to spend my last moments cuddling with my children.

Day 3 VLCD

Well, six pounds down so far. Not bad! 


Today was HARD, really hard. I was hungry, cranky and tired pretty much all day. I had a killer headache, and wanted to punch every person I saw in the throat! I was really ready to give it all up, I didn't care if I remained fat for the rest of my life if I could just eat a big fat juicy cheeseburger. Buuuuut... I didn't cheat! Whew! 


My husband (who is deployed) sent me a box of chocolate covered strawberries, and I didn't cheat! :)


My children came home with tons of chocolate candies, and I didn't cheat.


I made spaghetti and garlic bread for the kids, and I didn't cheat. 


That's got to count for something, right?


So, for lunch:


Crab meat, Melba toast and lettuce (this was very bland)


 For dinner:


Lemon Mustard Chicken with spinach salad topped with melba and strawberry vinaigrette. This was GOOD! I wanted to lick the plate it was so good. 




Some things that I messed up with:


I didn't wear gloves when handling chocolate. (I hope this doesn't stall me)


Things I did well today:


I didn't cheat! 
I made a delicious new meal!


How I felt today:


Crappy. Tired. Hungry. Irritable. Mild headache all day.

Day 2 VLCD

Well, day 2 down. Today was hard. I was hungry most of the day. I went to school, and it seemed like delicious food was every where. I walked into the elevator with five people, and they all had food that is currently "forbidden" Ugh, it was so hard! Then I got to class and my teacher was handing out chocolates. I accepted mine and just threw it into my bag. I miss chocolate already and its only day 2!! 


I realized I have a serious addiction to food, which is the main reason I choose this diet. I need to reevaluate my relationship with food. I have to stop eating just to eat. 


I am on that road. 


For breakfast:


Just tea


Snack:


Apple

Lunch:


Shrimp with tomatoes and a Melba toast

Snack: 

Orange

Dinner: 

Talapia with asparagus and melba toast

Both meals were okay, nothing extra special. I enjoyed the soup from yesterday much better. But, when you are hungry, anything taste good! 

Some things that I messed up with:

I took an extra bit of fish that wasn't part of my 100g. Lilah was eating fish along with me, and she left one bite. Just one. *sigh*
I forgot if I had taken my drops, so I could have possibly taken an extra dose. 

Things I did well today:

I didn't cheat!! (And it was HARD not to!!)

How I felt today:


I have a headache, and I felt a little tired by the end of the day. I also felt a bit dizzy at one point in the day. 


I still am super excited and nervous to see the results on the scale tomorrow.

Day 1 VLCD

Today's weight: 163.8
Goal Weight: 125

So, even though I loaded and loaded yesterday, I lost weight again. This is either really good, or not. I am going to just go with it and be happy that I lost 2 lbs in spite of eating a load of fat. 


Today was the first day of VLCD. I did okay, I guess. 


For breakfast I just drank green tea. 


For snack I ate an apple. 

And, by this time I was starving. It seems like about 30 minutes before my next dose of drops, I am super hungry. Not just craving food, but rather my stomach is growling and I am feeling a bit shaky. 


Lunch was amazing! I guess when you are really hungry something as simple as shrimp wraps (Lettuce wrap around shrimp) and melba toast will be delectable! 


I kind of messed up with the shrimp though. I weighed them after I cooked them so I more than likely ate more than 100g of protein. I am hoping that it doesn't effect the scale tomorrow. (Wouldn't it be silly if it did after all I ate on my load days!!)

Again, right around the time it was ready for a dose I was STARVING. My snack of strawberries was almost the best tasting thing I have eaten in my life.

For dinner I decided to try some French Onion soup that I saw the recipe for on facebook. It was pretty good, and actually filling. I messed up and added waaay to much pepper, but again, I was HUNGRY so I gulped it down. 


Some things that I messed up with:
I got peanut butter on my hands, and then used dish soap to wash it off. :/
I used Old Bay AND hot sauce, both in which can cause stalls. 
The "shrimp" incident I mentioned earlier. 


Things I did well today:
I didn't cheat. 
I drank mucho water. 


How I felt today:
I have had so much energy, its amazing! I hope this continues! This morning I had a bit of a headache but I think that had more to do with this awful cold I have than the drops themselves. And, as mentioned earlier, I felt really shaky before it was time to eat. 


I am SO nervous and excited to see the scale in the morning!

Loading Day 2

After eating all of this, I actually lost half a pound!! How in the world?? I don't know, but today I just wanted to continue with the loading phase so that I can start with my very low calorie diet (VLCD) tomorrow! 


This loading stuff is HARD! I really don't feel like eating, and forcing yourself to eat very fatty foods when you aren't even hungry is HARD! I kind of feel like the people in competitive eating. I just shove the food in my mouth with little enjoyment. Okay, so here is what I ate today:


In no particular order:


2 eggs cooked in butter
2 Cream filled chocolate Krispy Kreme donuts
4 Cookies with cream on top
BBQ Sand which
Trail Mix
Cheesecake Factory Dulce de Leche Carmel Cheesecake
4 pieces of meat lovers pizza
Bacon and Cheese covered Fries with sour cream
An avocado
A small amount of lasagna with alfredo sauce over it (Ugh, I just couldn't eat it) 
And tons of spoons full of heavy whipped cream mixed with butter and sugar throughout the day. 
A small amount of Ice cream


I have one more dose of  the drops today, but I am done eating.. I can't eat anymore or I will be sick. 


Let's see how the scale treats me in the morning. I am really excited to start the VLCD portion after all this heavy loading. (I may not feel the same in a few days!)

Loading Day 1

So, today I started loading. You get to eat all that you can stuff in your body for two solid days. Sounds great when you are talking about a diet, right?? Well, its not nearly as fun as it sounds. Because you not only have to eat, but you really should eat past your comfort level, and that's what I did. I was pretty much forcing food into my mouth, and talking myself out of vomiting. :)

Here is what was on the menu today:

Breakfast:

3 eggs fried in a TON of butter
1 pudding cup
A handful of chocolates


Snack:
2 chocolate with cream filling Krispie Kreme donuts (at 21g of fat each!!)
1 Vanilla Frappachino from Starbucks
3 Frosting topped sugar cookies (8g of fat each)

Lunch:
Cheese filled Perogies sauted in butter
Bacon Cheeseburger

Snack:
Trail Mix with chocolate chips
Popcorn with melted butter

Dinner:
2 pieces of Fried Chicken
Macaroni and Cheese
French Fries

And, though I haven't eaten this yet... my plans for tonights snack is:

Snack:
Fried Sweet Potato Pie (From Bojangles)
Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Ice cream

Shop, shop around..

Well, today I went shopping for the food (and other items) I am going to need while doing the diet. It was actually hard. I didn't want to purchase the foods I knew I needed to buy for my load days. I am so ready to make changes that having that crap in my house right now is bothering me. I know how important it is, so I am leaving it be until my load days. :)

I bought a kitchen scale to weigh the food and was super excited to try it out. I wanted to cut up the meats that I got and put them in individual packages for easier meals later. Well, on the box it said "One Lithium Battery Included" So, I thought that I didn't need batteries. I get home and try to set up the scale. I take out the one battery they included and begin to put it in the scale when I notice that there certainly is ONE battery included but the dang scale takes TWO batteries! What is the purpose of only including ONE battery. Oy!

Anyway, I got a confirmation that my HCG has been mailed. So excited! I keep thinking about our upcoming cruise in August and how awesome it would be if I could be in a size 8 by then!!

The beginning

Well, today I ordered my HCG drops from here. I am so excited to begin my journey, but I am also very nervous. I am using this blog to track my progress, keep me accountable, and to possibly help others in the future.

I will blog about what I eat, how much I eat, tasty recipes, side effects, and hopefully my amazing weight loss! I will take before and after pictures, reveal my weekly weight loss, and share tips that have helped me.

I have about 35-45 pounds to lose, and I would really love to lose them before my husband returns from deployment in the summer. :) Here is a picture of me yesterday after the polar plunge. I almost look pregnant in this photo- I am not. I sincerely hope I DO NOT look like this 45 days from now!

Now I wait, I wait for the drops to arrive. Oh, on day 1 and 2 I have to eat, eat, eat. Anything and everything I want! Woo hoo!! :)
